FUNCTION SELECTION VIA LINE (FSL) COMMANDS

Y31ÐNon-SCS, Valid FF at End of Print Buffer

@Y31, n@

Implements an IBM RPQ and takes effect as soon as the command is received. This function determines the print line position when a Form Feed command is the last command in the print buffer, or is immediately followed by an end of message code.

Values for n are:

 

0*

Next character position is the 1st Print

 

 

Position (PP) on the 2nd line on the next

 

 

form, when a valid FF positioned at the

 

 

end of the IBM print buffer, is received.

 

1*

Next character position is the 1st Print

 

 

Position on the next form, when a valid

 

 

FF, which is not positioned at the end of

 

 

the IBM print buffer, is received.

 

 

 

The default is product dependent. PCL platform has a default of

1.If n = 0, (default) is selected, it automatically adds a new line to a Form Feed command at the end of the print data. The printer is set to print at position 1 of the second line of the next page. If n = 1 is selected, it executes only a Form Feed command. The printer is set to print at position 1 of the first print line of the next form. This option is ignored if Automatic Form Feed at End of Buffer (Y33) is ENABLED or Form Feed After Local Copy (Y26) is ENABLED.

This option corresponds with the IBM 3268 RPQ SC9504 and the

IBM 3287 RPQ SC3749.

Example

@Y31, 1@ sets the printer to advance to 1st PP and 1st line on

 

the next form.
