Besides being able to detect a change in a target device's condition from normal to faulty operation and vice-versa, the device monitoring function is also able to detect changes in the type of problem encoun- tered (such as the change from Offline to Alarm).

Target Device Setup and Maintenance

This allows the target device to be setup and maintained. This is done by means of the following functions:
