4.3 Transportation

The following provides notes on transporting an MO disk drive:

An MO disk drive must be transported in packed status in proper package. A unit must not be turned over; always keep the top side up.

After unpacking, transportation of a drive must be limited to short distance, avoiding shocks and vibrations using cushion. During transportation after unpacking, it is recommended that an MO disk drive should be kept level.

4.4 Storage

The following provides notes on storing an MO disk drive:

Moisture-proof packing must be used for storage.

Drastic temperature changes must be avoided in storage environment for preventing condensation.
