Chapter 3: Conﬁguring

3.1 CONNECTING THE LOCAL CONSOLE MANAGER

Connect the Local Console Manager to the ATX. For speciﬁc instructions, see Chapter 2, Connecting to the Network of the ATX User Guide.

Make sure the ATX is powered on and press <Return> a few times. When the ATX> prompt is displayed, the Local Console Manager is ready to use. The default password is <Return>.

3.2 LOCAL CONSOLE MANAGER COMMANDS

To conﬁgure the switch modules, refer to the ATX User Guide for Local Console Manager commands generic to all modules, Make sure you’re familiar with Local Console Manager before conﬁguring the module. For speciﬁc instructions on displaying the port status, see Chapter 4.
