8.4 The Notebook Care

Through prolonged use the Notebook might become dirty or due to some form of accident require cleaning. It may also become damaged due to travel and use. Please follow the below guideline s to care for and clean the Notebook.

Ensure to always carry your Notebook in a Handy Bag or Case so that it is protected during travel and is better able to handle any of the normal bumps, knocks and drops that occur.

Should the work surface of the notebook (Palm Rest, Touch Pad etc.) become dirty, a slightly damp cloth and certified computer cleaner can be used to clean the surface. Do not use any Household or abrasive cleaners as these can damage the surface.

To clean the LCD Panel, please use a slightly damp cloth and approved LCD Cleaner ONLY. Any form of Household or abrasive cleaner can damage the LCD Panel.

In the event that any liquid is spilled in / onto the notebook immediately switch off the machine regardless of any data that might be lost, remove the AC adaptor if plugged in and remove the battery pack. DO NOT switch the unit back on, immediately contact the provider of the notebook to arrange to have the unit dried and checked for any kind of damage.
