Instruction Manual

Network

The Network dialog is used to specify the SV1107IPEXT’s network envi- ronment.

Access Ports

If a firewall is being used, the Administrator can specify (in the firewall set up) the port numbers that it will allow. When connecting to the SV1107IPEXT, users must specify the port number as part of the IP Address.

If an invalid port number (or no port num- ber) is specified, the SV1107IPEXT will not be found. (i.e 192.168.0.60 / 9000 for the Windows client, 192.168.0.60/9002 for the Java client.)

Please Note:

1.If there is no firewall (on an Intranet, for example), these numbers will not have any effect.

2.The access ports cannot have the same value. A different value must be set for each one.
