Security

The Security page is used to control access to the SV1107IPEXT.

Overview

IP and MAC Filters control access to the SV1107IPEXT based on the IP and/or MAC Addresses of the computers attempting to access the system. If any filters have been configured, they appear in the IP Filter and/or MAC Filter list boxes.

The Login string lets the Administrator specify a string that users must include along with the SV1107IPEXT’s IP address when accessing the SV1107IPEXT through the Java Applet. For example, if the IP Address were 192.168.0.126, and the string was abcdefg, the users would key in the following: 192.168.0.126/abcdefg

Users must include a forward slash (/) and the string, along with the IP Address when they log in. For security purposes, we recommend that you change this string periodically.
