You may also use a 3-button mouse or wheel mouse to select a computer if you have enabled mouse control (see section 3.6.7).

To select a computer in SHARED mode use the left hand mouse button ( ) whilst the menu bar is positioned above the required computer name. To escape without selecting a new computer use the right hand mouse button.

To select a computer in EXCLUSIVE mode, use the left hand mouse button together with the SHIFT key on the keyboard. To select a computer in VIDEO ONLY mode use the left hand mouse button together with the CTRL key on the keyboard.

If you have many connected computers then you can do an alphabetic search of the list of computer names by pressing F3 and then entering the name that you want to find.

When you select a computer the LINDY CPU Switch will briefly confirm the computer that has been selected by displaying a message. There may be situations where the selected computer cannot be accessed and in this case the LINDY CPU Switch will display a error message and wait for the user to press ESC before continuing. The LINDY CPU Switch may not be able to connect due to the following reasons:

The requested port is being accessed exclusively by another user. There are no free cascade links available.

The requested port does not exist.
