Chapter 4 - RouterView Software Installation

All of the routers in DCB’s multiprotocol family, can be managed from a single management platform called RouterView. Both a Windows and a Macintosh version of RouterView were included with your BR Router.

vNote: Although the installation procedures for the Windows and Macintosh versions of RouterView are slightly different, the programs themselves are virtually identical. Once you have installed RouterView on the platform of your choice, you can find more information on how to use it in the RouterView Reference Guide which was included with your router.

RouterView for Windows

RouterView for Windows allows you to manage the BR Router from an IBM- compatible PC running Windows 3.1, Windows for WorkGroups, Windows 95, or Windows NT. The PC can either be configured as an IPX client on a Novell NetWare internet, or as an IP WinSock client on an IP internet.
