3.10 Input Television Video Functions

3.10.1 Brightness (Range)

This control adjusts the Brightness of the selected television source. Brightness is not accessible from the front panel when the selected input source is VGA pass through or AUTO. The default value for Brightness will produce internal digital values in accordance with ITU656 when a 100% amplitude, 100% saturation color bar test pattern is applied to the QuadScan’s composite input. The default value for Brightness will produce RGB analog output at the HI RES OUT connector with a full scale range of 0.0 to 0.7 V. when a 100% amplitude, 100% saturation color bar test pattern is applied to the QuadScan’s composite input. The default value is indicated by the numerals “16”. The range of Brightness is 0 – 255 units.

3.10.2 Contrast (Range)

This control adjusts the Contrast of the selected television source. Contrast is not accessible from the front panel when the selected input source is VGA pass through or AUTO. The default value for Contrast will produce internal digital values in accordance with ITU656 when a 100% amplitude, 100% saturation color bar test pattern is applied to the QuadScan’s composite input. The default value for Contrast will produce RGB analog output at the HI RES OUT connector with a full scale range of 0.0 to 0.7 V. when a 100% amplitude, 100% saturation color bar test pattern is applied to the QuadScan’s composite input. The default value is indicated by the numerals “128”. The range of Contrast is 0 – 255 units.

This control adjusts the Saturation of the selected television source. Saturation is not accessible from the front panel when the selected input source is VGA pass through or AUTO. The default value for Saturation will produce internal digital values in accordance with ITU656 when a 100% amplitude, 100% saturation color bar test pattern is applied to the QuadScan’s composite input. The default value for Saturation will produce RGB analog output at the HI RES OUT connector with a full scale range of 0.0 to 0.7 V. when a 100% amplitude, 100% saturation color bar test pattern is applied to the QuadScan’s composite input. This control adjusts the Hue of the selected television source. Hue does not affect PAL composite or S-Video input. Hue is not accessible from the front panel when the selected input source is VGA pass through or AUTO. The default value for Hue will produce internal digital values in accordance with ITU656 when a100% amplitude,
