Controlling an Onkyo DVD Player

The [DVD] Remote Mode button is preprogrammed with the remote control code for controlling an Onkyo DVD player.

Press the appropriate

Remote Mode button first.

*With some components, certain buttons may not work as expected, and some may not work at all.

AON/STANDBY button

Sets the DVD player to On or Standby.

BNumber buttons

Used to enter title, chapter, and track numbers, and to enter times for locating specific points. The [+10] button works as a +10 button or “-.--” button.

CTOP MENU button

Displays a DVD’s top menu or a DVD’s title.

DANGLE button

Selects the view angle.

EPLAY MODE button

Selects play modes on components with selectable play modes.

FDISPLAY button

Displays information about the current disc, title, chapter, or track, including elapsed time, remaining time, total time, and so on.

GAUDIO button

Selects foreign language soundtracks and audio formats (e.g., Dolby Digital or DTS).

HCLR button

Cancels functions and clears entered numbers.

IDISC +/, button

Selects discs on a DVD changer.

JVOL []/[ ] button (23)

Adjusts the volume of the AV receiver.

KMENU button

Displays a DVD’s menu.

LArrow []/[ ]/[]/[ ] and ENTER buttons

Used to navigate menus and select items.

MRETURN button

Exits the DVD player’s setup menu or returns to the previous menu.

NPlayback buttons

From left to right and top to button : Pause, Play, Stop, Rewind, Fast Forward, Previous, and Next.

OREPEAT button

Used with the repeat playback function.

PRANDOM button

Used with the random playback function.

QZOOM button

Used with the zoom playback function.

RSUBTITLE button

Displays a DVD’s subtitle.
