PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Switch is a modularized 10/100Mbps Ethernet switch that offers users the ability to configure the number of network ports and port types, and to meet all media requirements and servers’ high throughput.

The Switch provides four expansion slots, each of which supports one slide- in port module with two network ports. Ports can vary from ordinary twisted-pair ports to BNC or fiber-optic ports depending on the installed modules. With these modules, you can configure the Switch to provide a maximum of eight switched Ethernet ports connecting to various network media.

By adding the Switch to your existing bandwidth-constricted Ethernet network, you can dramatically increase your available Ethernet bandwidth.

The following lists the other features of the Switch:

Bandwidth Boost

The Switch segments up a workgroup to eliminate unnecessary traffic, multiply the available bandwidth, and relieve congestion on server paths.

Eight User-Configurable Ports

The Switch provides four expansion slots for installation of up to eight switched network ports, which can be any combination of 10BASE2, 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX N-Way, 10BASE-FL, and 100BASE-FX.
