Appendix B. UTP/STP Connection

The Local and Remote connection cable is terminated with RJ45 connectors and must be wired according to the EIA/TIA 568 industry standard. Scheme B is preferred.

The CrystalView has been tested with all major makes of CAT-5 cables, including BICC-VERO, Mohawk and AT&T.

The CrystalView has also been tested on CAT-3 cable and on pairs within a 25- pair UTP trunk cable.

Assure that the CAT-5 cable is a “Solid Core” cable.
