Setting the Gigabit Spanning Tree encapsulation mode

Thecommand enables or disables the process of encapsulating BPDUs from Gigabit Ethernet when they are forwarded onto token ring, and de-encapsulating BPDUs when they are forwarded from token ring onto Gigabit Ethernet.

Command:

>set Gigabit port STP encapsulation mode <slot>:<port> <1,2>

Clearing the Gigabit port RIF Cache

The set gigabit port RIF cache cleared command deletes the RIF cache for the specified Gigabit port. The cache is used when translating transparently forwarded Gigabit Ethernet frames to source-routed token ring frames.

>set Gigabit port RIF cache cleared <slot>:<port> <1>
