You can change this name if you prefer it to be named differently. Follow these steps to change the Seagate Wireless Plus name:
1.From the Seagate Media app or if you are using a browser, select Settings, then General.
2.Select Edit Seagate Wireless Name.
3.Type a new name and then click OK.
You will need to reconnect to your Seagate Wireless Plus device after the name has been changed.
Disconnecting From the Seagate Wireless Plus Network
1.Open your media device’s list of wireless networks.
2.Choose a wireless network other than Seagate Wireless Plus.
Setting a Password
Create a password if you want to restrict access to your Seagate Wireless Plus device. You may want to set a password if you’re in an environment where you don’t want others to connect to your Seagate Wireless Plus device. Setting a password turns WPA security on, which protects your wireless transmissions with your Seagate Wireless Plus device. To stop requiring a password after one has been created, select Turn Password Off and then enter the current password.
