General description

Cheetah 18FC disc drives are high-speed, random-access digi- tal-data storage devices designed to be used within a Fibre Channel host system.

The drive is a component for installation in an enclosure designed for the drive. The disc drive must receive adequate cooling (refer to “Providing adequate cooling”) and it must be sufficiently grounded and shielded from emissions. The Cheetah 18FC Product Manual (part number 83329330) contains guide- lines for a properly designed enclosure.
