Pre-Installation Requirements
Before you can use the Gigabit Ethernet card in your NetWare system, you must install the network device driver.
First, make sure that the Gigabit Ethernet card is physically installed on your system. Typically, NetWare OS software must already be running on the server. Make sure that your server meets the hardware and operating system software requirements described in Table
Install the NIC into a PCI slot of a NetWare server and note the slot number (slots are generally numbered top/front to bottom/back of the machine). You may need to know the slot number later, when you configure the driver.
Install the latest support pack files to ensure the GA621 Fiber Gigabit Ethernet Card will correctly function.The Support pack or patch file(s) needed for the
operating system running on your server are indicated in Table

Installing the Driver Software
To use the floppy drive to install the drivers, copy the Ga621.lan and Ga621.ldi files from the GA621 Fiber Gigabit Ethernet Adapter Driver and Document CD onto a floppy disk.
