3A. Pages, Keys, and Sequences

Designing and programming an IntelliControl system requires that you have an intimate understanding of how the IntelliControl functions. This way you can sell the system properly (and not embarrass yourself by making unrealistic promises), as well as be able to quickly and efficiently program the system so the customer gets the maximum amount of enjoyment from his investment. In the following sections, the operational capabilities of each key are described, and the overall architecture of the IntelliControl product is explained.

The IntelliControl’s memory is divided in two sections. One section stores all of the “Automation” (including all “Power” commands, “Input Selection”, etc.), and the other section of memory is divided into “pages” for storage of all of the remaining IR commands which the user may issue to control the features and functions of the components, as well as peripheral devices in the system.

Note: It is not important that you learn how to program the functions described below at this time. Simply concentrate on understanding the general concepts, and explicit programming instructions will be explained step-by-step in the IntelliFile II Reference Manual Version 1.0.
