Troubleshooting

All IE-iMcV-T1-Mux/4 + Ethernet units are shipped configured as Host units via DIP Switch #1 = OFF. The Remote unit should be set to DIP Switch #1 = ON. Be sure to confirm that the iMcV-T1-Mux/4 card is set correctly when used.

The fiber transport is independent of all other ports and should be established first. If this is not possible, a physical fiber loopback can be used for fiber port verification. A fiber loopback will cause all connected ports to loop back their respected data.

If the fiber is not connected, all T1 ports will send the all-ones, AIS signal. This can be physically looped back to verify T1 port operation.

When a replacement module is added into the same slot of the chassis, the SNMP managed configuration may become lost or incomplete. To avoid this situation, wait at least two minutes between removing the old module and inserting the new module.
