Station Connections

Refer to the wiring statement of the previous section; connect each station/device to the switch with the correct cables.

Switch-to-Switch Connections

In making a switch-to-switch connection, using every port to connect another switch or backbone is strongly recommended. The gigabit ports provide a larger pipe to the server or backbone for boosting the total system performance.

Furthermore, as the switch supports Port Aggregation (Port Trunk) capabilities and up to 8 groups, it is also great for building switch-to-switch connectivity.
