WiRanger LED Descriptions
The WiRanger uses LED’s to indicate status to the user. LED operation is the same for the LEX unit and the REX unit.
LED Name | Description |

Power LED | Indicates 5V power is connected to the unit. |
|
|
Link LED | Indicates communications have been established |
| between the LEX unit and the REX unit. |
| Independent of USB communication. |
|
|
Host LED | Indicates successful communications between the |
| host PC and the USB 2.0 hub in the REX unit. |
|
|
Activity LED | Indicates active USB data transmission and/or |
| reception over the wireless link. Additionally, the |
| Activity LED will flash after power is connected to |
| indicate that the radios are powering up |
|
|
Device LED’s | GREEN: Indicates that the attached USB device is |
(REX unit only) | correctly detected by the host PC. |
| ORANGE: Indicates that the attached USB device |
| has drawn too much current and hence the hub |
| has shut this Device port off to protect the |
| WiRanger. Disconnect and reconnect the REX |
| unit’s power to clear this fault condition. |
