Verifying the Installation

This method is similar to activating real subscribers. In order to use this method the following preconditions have to be fulfilled:

The PEM installation has succeeded

The PEM configuration of the network has been done

The servers in the network are running

All registration has been transferred to the PEM

The Service Configuration Manager is used for this task.

Alternatively the Bulk Configuration Manager can be used instead of the Service Configuration Manager and may simplify the task of configuring an end-user with a service for each line; please see the Bulk Configuration User’s Guide for further details.

Please refer to Local Craft Tool User’s Guide and the PEM User’s Guide for detailed information of how to use them.

EDN312, IP DSLAM specifications

Ericsson IP DSLAM EDN312 is a high-performance digital subscriber line access multiplexer designed to facilitate the delivery of broadband services over traditional copper telephone lines. As the demand for high-speed internet continues to rise, the EDN312 offers a robust solution that combines advanced technologies with a user-friendly interface, making it an essential component for many service providers.

One of the key features of the Ericsson IP DSLAM EDN312 is its ability to support multiple DSL technologies, including ADSL, ADSL2+, and VDSL2. This flexibility allows service providers to offer various broadband plans tailored to the needs of their customers, providing options for both residential and business users. The device's capability to handle multiple standards ensures that providers can meet varying demand without needing to upgrade their infrastructure constantly.

Another significant characteristic of the EDN312 is its high density, which allows for the connection of numerous subscribers per unit. With up to 384 subscribers supported, operators can maximize their investments by deploying fewer units while still delivering exceptional service quality. This high density is complemented by advanced line management features, which help optimize performance and maintain service reliability.

The EDN312 also incorporates sophisticated quality of service (QoS) mechanisms. This functionality enables operators to prioritize traffic effectively, ensuring that time-sensitive applications such as VoIP and video streaming perform seamlessly, even during peak usage periods. By prioritizing bandwidth allocation based on the type of services being delivered, the EDN312 enhances the overall user experience.

Moreover, the Ericsson IP DSLAM EDN312 is designed with energy efficiency in mind. Its innovative hardware and software solutions minimize power consumption, which is not only beneficial for the environment but also reduces operational costs for service providers.

In summary, the Ericsson IP DSLAM EDN312 stands out for its versatility, scalability, and performance. With support for multiple DSL technologies, high subscriber density, effective QoS mechanisms, and a focus on energy efficiency, it is an ideal solution for operators looking to enhance their broadband offerings while optimizing costs and maintaining high service quality. In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, the EDN312 enables service providers to navigate the challenges in delivering high-speed broadband with efficiency and reliability.
