Location of the Battery (Optional Model Only)

The following illustration shows the location of the battery.

Removing and Replacing the Battery

Follow these steps to remove and replace the battery. You can remove and replace the battery without disconnecting the AC power source.

1Turn the modem so that you are facing the side with the battery compartment.

2Gently release the latch to open the battery cover and gain access to the battery compartment.

3Grasp the plastic strip on the front of the battery and gently slide the battery forward to remove it from the battery compartment.

4Insert a new battery into the battery compartment. Do not force the battery into the compartment, but be sure to press the battery all the way in until it seats fully.
