Single Touch Play / Harmony

SINGLE TOUCH PLAY

The SINGLE TOUCH PLAY button recalls all the memorized parameters associated to the ROM Styles, including the sounds assigned to the key- board sections.

If the EASY PLAY and MEMORY buttons are off, pressing SINGLE TOUCH PLAY activates both buttons. Activating SINGLE TOUCH PLAY also turns on KEY START.

If SINGLE TOUCH PLAY is off, you can select STYLES from the STYLES Groups without changing the keyboard sounds.

If you select Presets from the PROGRAMMABLE PRESETS, the SINGLE TOUCH PLAY button deactivates automatically.

HARMONY

Harmony can orchestrate your Style playing, making simple one-note melodies sound as if they are being played by a full orchestra. This button is associated to the Styles and Song/Styles only. Songs cannot exploit this function.

Important: Harmony operates only when the Easy Play button is on and when the keyboard mode is set to SPLIT.

On/Off

This button enables (LED on) or disables (LED off) the current Harmony Type selected in the Har- mony Type options.

Harmony Type

HARMONY TYPE gains access to the 8 Harmony options. The structure of the automatic harmony is based on the current Harmony Type setting and operates in two different ways:

A: according to the note (or chord) played below the Split Point with Arrange On/Off selected.

B: regardless of the note played or not played below the Split Point.

Type A:

Close: The notes played on the left hand are added to the melody note exactly as played. The harmonizing chord is a closed (or tight) position (notes fall within the same octave).

Open 1: same as close but with an open chord (notes spread over 2 octaves).

Open 2: similar to Open 1 but with the notes played on the left hand randomly assigned to the right .

Block: transforms the melody note into a full four or five note chord, each note in perfect harmony.
