If you cannot determine the RAID level using Disk Management, you can use the Dell OpenManage Data Agent Configurator to view the RAID configuration of each volume.

To view the RAID configuration of a volume using Data Agent Configurator, perform the following steps:

1.Start the Dell OpenManage Data Agent Configurator.

2.From the Main Menu, select Devices and then click Scan Devices.

A window appears listing all available disk volumes and their associated RAID levels.

Data Agent Configurator and Disk Management scan the disk volumes in the same order—from top to bottom—so you can map drive letters from Disk Management to the RAID volumes displayed in Data Agent Configurator.

Configuring Your Cluster Nodes Using Windows 2000 Datacenter Server

This section provides procedures for configuring your cluster nodes using Windows 2000 Datacenter Server.

The procedures include the following tasks:

Adding a network interface controller (NIC) to a cluster node

Changing the Internet protocol (IP) address of a cluster node

Uninstalling MSCS

Replacing cluster nodes

Running chkdsk /f on a quorum resource

Adding a Third NIC to a Cluster Node

A cluster node should contain a NIC for the following networks:

Private network—to ensure that each node is connected to the cluster and run- ning properly

Public network—to provide connectivity for clients accessing resources on the cluster

You can also install a third NIC to provide a network connection to additional public network or a separate network for cluster administration

Before you add a third NIC to a cluster node, ensure that the following software is installed on your cluster nodes and configured properly:

Windows 2000 Datacenter Server with the latest Service Pack
