3.Secure the mounting bracket at the back of the slide assembly by pushing against the inside of the vertical rail and pressing down until the square peg pops into the square hole in the back vertical rail.
4.Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the remaining slide assembly on the other side of the rack.
Installing the Top Cover in the Rack
CAUTION: If you are installing more than one system, install the first sys- tem in the lowest available position in the rack.
CAUTION: Never pull more than one component out of the rack at a time.
1.Slide the top cover to the back of the system chassis until it stops. Press in on the slide release buttons (on the right and left slide surfaces) while sliding the
top cover back to completely disengage the top cover from the chassis (see Fig- ure

CAUTION: Place the system chassis where the exposed inner components will not be damaged or exposed to ESD or falling items.
2.Place the system chassis on a flat surface, out of the way.
3.Lift the top cover into position in front of the slide assemblies.
4.Move the top cover to the back of the rack cabinet and align the slots on the left and right sides with the matching shoulder studs on the slide assemblies.
