Installation

Installing the Third Power Supply

If you will be installing five (5) or more disk drives you will be required to install the third power supply.

CAUTION: Power supply installation is to be performed by qualified service personnel only. There is no need to power off the CR8e or the computer system. The power supplies are hot swappable.

1Loosen the two screws on the Power Supply #3 cover plate using a flat-blade screwdriver and remove the cover plate.

2Remove the power supply from its shipping package.

3Install the third power supply by sliding the PSU into the cabinet until it reaches its locked position. Orient the supply as indicated in the illustration.

NOTE: Use care when inserting the power supply into its fully seated position. Do not use a strong force to seat the PSU into its mating connector.

4Remove the blanking plug for the LED on the cover plate.

5Re-install the cover plate. Secure the cover plate with the two screws using a flat-blade screwdriver securing the power supply.
