Step 1. Select [STANDARD CMOS SETUP]

Set [Date/Time] and [Floppy drive type], then set [Hard Disk Type] to

“Auto”.

Step 2. Select [Load Optimized Defaults]

Select the “Load Optimized Defaults” menu and type “Y” at the prompt to

load the BIOS optimal setup.

Step 3. Select [Soyo Combo Feature]

(a) CPU Host/PCI Clock

CPU Host / PCI Clock

o 100/33

o 133/44

The PCI clock frequency depends on

the CPU Host clock. (Fixed pairs in the

clock generator) see the table on the

(b) CPU Ratio

After you have selected the CPU Host/ PCI Clock, choose the right

multiplier for the CPU. CPU Ratio options are:

o x 2

o x 2.5

o x 3

o x 3.5

o x 4

o x 4.5

o x 5

o x 5.5

o x 6

o x 6.5

o x 7

o x 7.5

o x 8

The CPU frequency is then defined as [host clock freq.] x [multiplier], and should the working frequency of your CPUs processor.

Step 4. Select [Save & Exit Setup]

Press <Enter> to save the new configuration to the CMOS memory, and continue the boot sequence.
