Teaching Notes

Talk to the students about memory, and how it works

 

on a calculator. The memory icon will appear on the

 

calculator screen when a number has been stored.

 

To view the stored number, press the MRC button

 

once. MRC stands for “Memory Recall & Clear”. If

 

the MRC key is pressed twice, the memory is cleared.

You should ask students to press the MRC key twice before the exercise … to make sure everyone starts with a clear memory.
