Polling Fields |
|
|
|
Status Interval | The interval at which statistics and status information are |
| gathered. |
|
|
(If Traps, Status | If the Register for Traps check box is selected, then it |
Interval) | specifies the interval in seconds at which statistics and |
| status information are gathered. |
|
|
Hotswap Detect | The multiples of polling intervals between hotswap checks. |
|
|
Enable | If checked, ASEM polls the switch according to the settings |
| listed above the Enable check box. |

SNMP Fields |
|
|
|
Retry Count | The number of times ASEM retransmits any SNMP message |
| before reporting a timeout message. |
|
|
Timeout | The length of time between each retry of each SNMP waiting |
| period, from 3 to 30 seconds. |
| If the retry count is set to 2 and the |
| seconds, ASEM reports a timeout (no response from the |
| switch) after 10 seconds. |
|
|
Trace | If checked, ASEM sends detailed SNMP information to the |
| log. |
|
|
Register for Traps | If checked, ASEM attempts to register the client’s IP address |
| to one of the trap hosts’ IP fields. |
|
|
Listen for Traps | If checked, ASEM listens for traps and attempts to hook to |
| the trap port 162. |
|
|
Max Traps in Log | The specified number of traps that may exist in the trap log. |
| The default is 500. |
|
|
Trap Port | The number of the port on which trap messages are |
| captured. The default is 162. |
|
|
General Fields |
|
|
|
Listen for Syslogs | If checked, ASEM listens for syslogs and attempts to hook |
| to the syslog port 514. |
|
|
Confirm row | If checked, ASEM requests for confirmation each time a row |
deletion | in the application is deleted. |
