SKEW

Picture quality can be improved when using a skew delay compensator, at long distances over 100 meters and higher resolution than 1024X768 the picture can be improved.

Launch a black text on white background look out for colour change. If you have any colour shades on your picture install a Skew delay compensator next to the remote.

A colour shade

The shade appears when the pairs inside of the CAT5/6 cable are different lengths. The phenomenon is visible over long distances combined with high resolutions.

You can use a test image with 3 colour bars, red green and blue or Daxten test program supplied with the delayline. On the Homepage you can find the Delayline and launch the test picture.

To the right you see green is aligned most to the right. By adding delay to red and green they will walk to the right and all colours will stay aligned.

It is possible to buy skewles cables - they are not suitable for network traffic and more expensive.
