How to Use Your Product

User Interface

This printer has two LEDs to indicate the printer’s status and two buttons for simple operation.

33.Keyboard

Feed:

Press this button to feed paper in continuous mode. This function can be modified by commands and the button can be disabled. Please refer to the programmer’s manual for more detailed information. This button is enabled by default. Press this button and turn on the printer to enter the configuration mode or self test explained in the previous chapter.

Cut:

Press this button to perform a full cut of the paper. If the paper length is below the minimum, the printer will automatically advance the paper to allow its edge to exit the printer.

Please avoid leaving cut tickets in the paper exit slot. This printer has been designed to allow several cut tickets to remain in the printer without interfering with printer operations and without blocking the cutter. However, this is not recommended since cut tickets may fall or end up out of order.

If you must leave printouts in the printer, be aware that more than 15 tickets will increase the risk of blocking the paper exit and a paper jam may occur. To avoid any problem, it is recommended to use only partial cut in applications that need to leave cut tickets at the printer.

This printer has several different cut commands available. The behavior of the cutter will differ depending on the command parameters and the command set selected (Bematech or ESC/POSTM). If the cutter is not performing correctly, please refer to the Programmer’s Manual for details or check with your software developer to choose which command set should be used with your printer.

You can disable the buttons in the printer via software. For these and other options please consult the Programmer’s Manual available at www.bematech.com support area.
