U npacking and assem bling the scale

Unpack the scale.G ently place the weighing platform to the body ofthe scale via the location points. M ake sure that the sloped side of the platform faces the front(keyboard)ofthe scale.Do notpress too hard or use force in placing the platform .

Using the scale w ith a battery

Rem ove the battery com partm entcoverunderneath the scale.Insert six

AAsize batteries in the correct orientation as indicated in the scale. Replace the battery com partm entcover.

Using the scale w ith the pow eradapter

Connectthe supplied poweradapterto the inputsocketfound atthe rear ofthe scale and plug itinto the power supply.Itis advisable to rem ove the batteries before using the poweradapter.

Scale startup

Press the key. will appear briefly in the LCD window as the scale perform s a self-check/zeroing routine, after which

willappearin the LCD window .W ait60 seconds forthe scale to warm up.Yourscale is now ready to weigh.

Using the TARE key

You can tare (setto zero)any article used as a containerforsm allitem s in the following way.

If the scale

is switched off, press the

key and

wait for

 

to display. Place the container onto the platform ,and

then press the

key.The display willshow

.

Place the item

to be weighed into the container, on the platform . The

scale willnow

show the weight of the item , excluding the weight of the

container.

 

 

 

Be sure thatthe scale is operated on a flatsurface

In order to operate correctly, the scale m ust be installed on a firm , flat surface.Itis advisable to turn the scale on one to two m inutes priorto its use.

Error M essages

The weightcapacity ofthe scale has been exceeded.

W hen the inputvoltage is less than 7V,LO appears in the upperleftLCD atthe scale’s startup.
