4 Remove the empty staple case and replace it with a new one.
- Replace both staple cases with new ones.
5 Return the saddle staple to its original position.
- Pull the handle of the saddle stitch holder (1) toward you and turn it (2) 90º in the direction of the arrow.
6 Return the saddle stitch unit to its original position.
7 Make sure that LD, LG or LT-R paper is set.
- If any of the above paper sizes is not set, test stapling cannot be performed.
8 Close the front cover of the finisher. Then, test stapling is automatically performed on a blank sheet.
- This is performed to avoid empty stitching.
If there is a test stapling failure and “Check staple cartridge” remains, repeat the above procedure from step 1 to 8.
