You initialize an Apple external SCSI hard disk by using a program called Apple HD SC Setup, which is on the floppy disk labeled Disk Tools that came with your computer. If your computer came with a

2Open the Apple HD SC Setup icon.
You may need to look in a folder called Utilities to find Apple HD SC Setup.
3Click Drive until the disk you want to initialize appears.
You cannot initialize the disk that you used to start up your computer or the disk that contains the Apple HD SC Setup program.
