Before You Begin...

Power Supply

❏Power should always be supplied from a rated power

outlet.

❏Do not place objects on the power cord and position the cord so that it will not be stepped on by people working

around the scanner.

❏Do not bundle the power cord or wrap it around objects

such as table or chair legs.

❏Do not attempt to unplug the scanner by pulling on the power cord. Grasp the plug itself firmly to remove it.

To ensure safe operation, always ground the scanner. Note that the scanner should never be grounded by connecting the ground lead to a gas or water pipe.

If you are unsure of any aspects of the power supply, consult your authorized Canon dealer or your power supplier.
