PCI Configuration Status and Error Messages

The following is a list of status and error messages that may appear on your system from time to time.

Message

Meaning

Floppy Disk Controller

The diskette controller has requested a

Resource Conflict

resource that is already in use.

 

 

CMOS Checksum Error,

The CMOS data was reinitialized due to a

CMOS Cleared

CMOS checksum error.

 

 

CMOS Data Invalid,

Invalid entry in the CMOS.

CMOS Cleared

 

 

 

Parallel Port Resource Conflict

The parallel port has requested a resource

 

that is already in use.

 

 

PCI Error Log is Full

This message is displayed when more than

 

15 PCI conflict errors are detected. No

 

additional PCI errors can be logged.

 

 

PCI I/O Port Conflict

Two devices requested the same resource,

 

resulting in a conflict.

 

 

PCI IRQ Conflict

Two devices requested the same resource,

 

resulting in a conflict.

 

 

PCI Memory Conflict

Two devices requested the same resource,

 

resulting in a conflict.

 

 

Primary Boot Device Not

The designated primary boot device (hard

Primary IDE Controller
