Using PC Cards
To remove a PC card (Windows 98 models)

1Close any applications that are using the PC card.
2Click the PC card icon in the taskbar and close the card window.
3Pull the PC card release button up and press it in toward the computer.
4Gently grasp the card and pull it out.
5Insert the PC card slot protector back into the empty slot.
To remove a PC card (Windows 2000 models)
✍If your computer is turned off, you do not have to follow these instructions.

2The “Unplug or Eject hardware” dialog box appears.
3In the Unplug or Eject Hardware dialog box, select the appropriate option, and then click Stop.
4Confirm the device and click OK.
5A message appears informing you that the device can now be safely removed from the system.
6Press the PC card RELEASE button to remove the PC card.
Cleaning Your Notebook
❑Make sure to disconnect the power cord before cleaning the computer.
❑Avoid rubbing the LCD screen as this can damage the screen. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the LCD screen.
❑Clean the computer with a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution. Do not use any type of abrasive pad, scouring powder or solvent, such as alcohol or benzine.
