3Wait until the computer cools down. Then unscrew the screw at the bottom of your computer. Loosen the screw with an appropriate screwdriver.

Touch a metal object (such as the connector panel on the back of your computer) to discharge static electricity.

Remove the memory module.

2 Pull the memory module in the direction of the arrow.

1 Pull the tabs in the direction of the arrows. The memory module is released.

6Tighten the screw on the bottom of the computer.

Your computer comes with a memory module installed in the memory slot. To upgrade your memory you will need to remove this module from the slot before installing your upgrade memory.

Remove the memory module from its packaging.
