To remove a memory module

1Shut down your computer and disconnect all peripheral devices, such as your printer.

2Unplug the computer and remove the battery packs.

3Wait until the computer cools down. Then unscrew the screw at the bottom of your computer. Loosen the screw with an appropriate screwdriver.

4Touch a metal object (such as the connector panel on the back of your computer) to discharge static electricity.

5Remove the memory module.

2 Pull the memory module in the direction of the arrow.

1 Pull the tabs in the direction of the arrows. The memory module is released.
