NOTE: The Resend option will not be available if the current channel type (i.e. Conventional or Capacity Plus) does not match the channel type on which the message was originally sent.

Procedure:

1 Press cagain while viewing the message.

 

2 ^ or vto Resend and press cto select.

 

 

 

 

3 The display shows transitional mini notice, confirming that

 

 

the same message is being sent to the same target radio.

 

4 If the message is sent, a tone sounds and the display shows

 

 

positive mini notice.

If the message is not sent, a low tone sounds and the

 

display shows negative mini notice.

If the message fails to send, the radio returns you to the Resend

option screen. Press cto resend the message to the same

subscriber/group alias or ID.

Advanced

NOTE: Changing the volume, and pressing any button, except

 

for c,<, or >, returns you to the message.

 

The radio exits the Resend option screen if you press

 

the PTT button to initiate a Private or Group Call, or to

 

 

respond to a Group Call. The radio also exits the

screen when it receives a text message, an emergency

 

call or alarm, or a call alert.

 

 

The display returns to the Resend option screen if you press the PTT button to respond to a Private Call (except when the radio is displaying the Missed Call screen), and at the end of an All Call.

Press ^ or vto access the Forward, Edit, or Delete option screen:

Select Forward to send the selected text message to another subscriber/group alias or ID (see Forwarding a Text Message on page 62).

Select Edit to edit the selected text message before sending it (see Editing a Text Message on page 62).

Select Delete to delete the text message.

NOTE: If you exit the message sending screen while the message is being sent, the radio updates the status of the message in the Sent Items folder without providing any indication in the display or via sound.

If the radio changes mode or powers down before the status of the message in Sent Items is updated, the radio cannot complete any In-Progress messages and automatically marks it with a Send Failed icon.

The radio supports a maximum of five (5) In-Progress messages at one time. During this period, the radio cannot send any new message and automatically marks it with a Send Failed icon.
