Removing a handheld from the cradle

To remove the pager-sized handheld from the cradle, brace the bottom of the cradle with one hand and gently pull the top of the handheld towards you.

To remove the palm-sized handheld from the charging cradle, brace the bottom of the cradle with one hand and gently pull the handheld up out of the cradle.

Adding users

One of the BESAdmin tool’s primary functions is to add a handheld to a BlackBerry Enterprise Server. You can add a user with or without a personal identification number (PIN). To add a user and a PIN at the same time, see “Adding a user and a PIN” on page 42.

Note Users must be registered on the Lotus Domino Server before they can be added to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Refer to your Lotus Domino documentation for details on user registration.

To add a user

1.In the BESAdmin window for the appropriate BlackBerry Enterprise Server, click Add to Server. A list of all users in the default Name and Address Book (Domino Directory) will appear. (This directory contains the names of registered Lotus Notes users.)

Note For email redirection to function properly, the Lotus Domino Server that has the BES add-in task must have the Server- Manager- and Delete-permissions in the Access Control List (ACL) of the users’ mail file.
