Notes on all types of discs

This player can play discs recorded in either NTSC or PAL color system. Discs recorded in any other color systems cannot be played on this player.

Recordable/rewritable discs (CD-R/CD- RW/DVD-R/DVD+R/DVD-RW/DVD+RW) may not play on this player, depending on the equipment used for the recording or the condition of the disc.

Play finalized discs. (Finalizing is a process necessary for a recorded disc to be played on the DVD/CD player.) Discs that are not finalized may not be played on this player.

Data CDs (CD-ROM/CD-R/CD-RW) must be recorded conforming to ISO 9660 Level 1/2 and Joliet extension format.

Data DVDs (DVD-ROM/DVD-R/DVD+R/ DVD-RW/DVD+RW) must be recorded conforming to UDF (Universal Disc Format).

Notes

If you record up to the maximum capacity of the disc, prohibit additional recording on the writing software.

If you record up to the maximum capacity of a new CD-R/CD-RW in one session, set “Disc at Once” on the writing software.

The following discs take a longer time to start playback.

A disc recorded with complicated tree structure.

A disc to which data can be added.
