You can program this unit to timer record as many as 8 programs up to 30 days in advance. If you do not know the PlusCode number for the program you wish to record, use the following procedure to set your unit to timer record the program.

Turn on the unit.

Turn on the TV and select an input mode such as EXT1.

Make sure that the unit’s built-in clock is set properly.

1Load a recordable disc.

For details, refer to “Placing A Disc” (A pg. 10).

7Press selection keys to set the desired channel (ACHB), then press E.

8Set the other recording options as required.

Refer to step 6 in “VCR Plus+ Timer Programming” (A pg. 37).

9Press ENTER to access the Program Confirmation screen.

10Press ENTER to complete the timer programming.

To program another timer, repeat steps 2 - 10.

11Press TIMERj to engage the unit’s timer mode.

The unit turns off automatically and j appears on the front display panel.

To disengage the timer mode, press TIMERj again.

NOTES:

When two successive programs are recorded with the “Manual Timer Programming” function, the ending of the first program or the beginning of the second program may not be recorded.

If the copy limited program is received during timer recording, the unit enters Record Pause mode. Recording starts again if it is switched to a recordable broadcast during the time you programmed.

Cable Box or DBS Receiver Users

To record a satellite broadcast using Manual Timer Programming:

APerform Manual Timer Programming.

Set the channel to the external input (AL-1Bor AF-1B) connected to the cable box or DBS receiver.

BSet the cable box or DBS receiver to the appropriate channel for recording.

Leave the cable box or DBS receiver’s power on.

2Press PROG to display the APROGRAM CHECKB screen.

When APROGRAM FULL DELETE UNWANTED TIMER PROGRAMB appears on the TV screen, you need to cancel some of the reserved programs.
