The Dynamic Range Compression can be turned off by selecting “OFF” from the submenu, or set to full compression by selecting

“FULL”. There are also intermediate levels of compression available for selection.

This setting enables Dolby Digital recordings to be played back with full dialog volume while reducing peak volume levels. This smooth level compression prevents abrupt volume transitions without reducing the impact of the digital source.
