SETTING THE TV REMOTE TO WORK ACCESSORY DEVICES
DIRECT ACCESS METHOD
Now that you have looked up the
Entry Code for your brand of acces- sory device, you are ready to follow the simple steps shown below.
Please read through all the steps before beginning.
BEGIN
Move the slide switch on the side
of the TV remote to VCR or ACC mode for the device you want.
Press the VCR RECORD (•) button and release.
Within 30 seconds, press the SMARTSOUND button.

• ACC mode is for cable converter boxes, satellite
receivers, DVDs, and laser disc players.
•If the procedure explained above does not work the first time, repeat the steps using the same remote code number.
•If after a second try the TV remote does not operate your accessory device, and more code numbers are listed for your brand, use the next listed code number. Continue trying the code numbers until successful.
