Controls and Functions

10.TIMER OFF Button

Press this button to set the sleep timer. Press it repeatedly to scroll through the available options (Off, 10, 30, 60, 120 or 180 minutes).

11.Sound Control Buttons

S.MODE

Press this button repeatedly to scroll through the available Equalizer presets (CUSTOM, STANDARD, MUSIC, FILM or SPEECH).

SURRND (Surround)

Press this button to turn Surround Mode on or off.

MTS/SAP (Multichannel Television Sound/Second Audio Program)

Press this button repeatedly to scroll through the available MTS settings (MONO, STEREO, SAP or Mono+SAP).

MUTE

Press this button to mute the audio output to the speakers and headphones.

12.Channel Selection Short-Cuts

PREV CHAN

Press this button to return to the previously-selected channel.

FAV CHAN

Press this button repeatedly to select a stored, “favorite” channel. You can store up to five favorite channels. To store favorite channels, select Favorite Channel from the Channel menu (described in Section 4).

13.Miscellaneous Functions

CLOSED CAPTIONING

Press this button to turn Closed Captioning on or off.

INFO

Press this button to view input signal information (source and resolution) or program information (if available) when viewing DTV channels.
