Using the TV Features

Using the Parent Controls

1.Press the MENU button to display the OSD main menu.

2.Press ▲ or ▼ to select the “Parental” menu.

3.Enter the password. (The default password is 0000, which can be changed. There is also a universal password 3660 that remains eternally valid.)

Channel Block:

1.Move to “Channel Block”, then press ENTER or ►.

2.Use ▲ or ▼ to select the channel you want to block, then press ENTER to block or unblock it.

3.Press MENU to exit.

Program Block:

1.Move to “Program Block”, and press ENTER or ►.

2.Move to “Rating Enable”, and select “On” to enable the detailed settings.

3.Move to “U.S. TV Ratings”, “U.S. Movie Ratings”, “Canadian English Ratings”, “Canadian French Ratings”, or “Block Unrated”.

(1) U.S. TV Ratings

1.Press ▲ or ▼ to select “U.S. TV Ratings”, then press

ENTER or ►.

The following screen will allow you to customize the following TV ratings:

Y (all children)

Y7 (older children) G (general audience) PG (guidance suggested) 14 (strongly cautioned) MA (mature audience)

You can also customize the TV ratings for the following content:

A (all types of content) D (sexsual dialog)

L (adult language) S (sexual situations) V (violence)

FV (fantasy violence)

2.Press ENTER to set or reset each area.

3.Press MENU to exit.
