This chapter discusses ways to troubleshoot the DTV-102 converter box and provides the module specifications.

5.1 Troubleshooting Guide

If you are experiencing problems with the DTV-102, see Table 1 for available solutions.

Make sure the power supply is securely plugged into a standard wall outlet and the

Make sure that the Auto P rogram process in the C hannel menu has been

 

completed. It will be required when you setup the C B for the first time or when the

 

C B is moved to a location where other channels are broadcast.

When the Auto P rogram process is interrupted and not completed, some channels

 

will not be received. Make sure to complete the Auto P rogram process in the

 

C hannel menu.

Unplug the AC power cord and wait for approx. 5 seconds, then plug in the power

 

cord. In the V -C hip menu, enter the default number "0000."

Make sure that the T V is correctly set to the selected C B video output channel.

C heck the antenna and the antenna cable. There may be damage or interference

P icture is blocky or not clear

R eposition the antenna to improve signal s trength. S ignal strength can also be

 

affected by rain or snow. In the US A, the website www.antennaweb.org can

 

provide help in determining the best antenna orientation.

 

 

 

Make sure that the audio cables are correctly connected between the C B audio

 

outputs and the T V audio inputs .

 

Make sure that C B and T V are turned on.

 

Make sure the C B and T V volume settings are at a reasonable level.

No sound

Make sure that the MUT E function is not activated on the C B or T V .

 

Make sure the T V is correctly set to the selected C B audio output channel.

 

When T V has only one audio input jack, use a standard audio cable (white) to

 

connect the audio output jack (white) on the C B to the audio input jack on the T V .
