Multiple-Toolbar-Menus and Symbols

Found at the top of your TV screen, the horizontal multiple-toolbar (figure 8 on page 21) appears in the setup menu. It uses a set of symbols to access and modify settings, provided that the DVD-Video (or Video CD) disc you are playing has been programmed to allow this type of access.

There are three (3) different multiple-toolbar menus available for the MOON Calypso. Each one provides access to a different group of settings and each setting has its own unique symbol:

Press the “SETUP” button on the remote control once to access Multiple-Toolbar-Menu-1. Pressing “SETUP” a second time will take you to Multiple-Toolbar-Menu-2. To access Multiple-Toolbar-Menu-3 press the “SETUP” button a third time. When there is no DVD-Video or Video CD disc in the transport, only Multiple-Toolbar-Menu-1 will be available. Pressing the “SETUP” button a fourth time will exit the setup menus.

Directly below the active toolbar symbol, an abbreviation will appear that describes the symbol’s current setting. You can scroll through the list of abbreviations using the down navigation button ($). The last setting scrolled to is automatically selected. Some settings will not take effect until once the Calypso’s transport is opened and then closed again.

The horizontal “help text bar” at the bottom of the TV screen will show a brief description for the active symbol.

A detailed description of each of the three multiple-toolbar-menus and their respective symbols follows.
